1. Dua for Breaking Fast (Iftar):

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
پیاس ختم ہو گئی، رگیں تر ہو گئیں، اور اگر اللہ نے چاہا تو ثواب مل گیا
Transliteration: Dhahaba al-zama’u wa abtalat al-‘urooqu wa thabata al-ajru in sha Allah.
Translation: "The thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills."
(Sunan Abi Dawud 2357)

2. Dua for Laylatul Qadr (Night of Decree):

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
اے اللہ! تو معاف کرنے والا ہے اور تو معافی کو پسند کرتا ہے پس مجھ کو معاف فرمادے۔
Transliteration: Allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa’fu anni.
Translation: "O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning, You love to pardon, so pardon me."

3. Dua for First Ashra (Mercy):

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
اے ہمارے رب مجھے بخش دے، مجھ پر رحم فرما ، تو سب سے بہتر رحم فرمانے والا ہے۔
Transliteration: Rabbighfir warham wa anta khayrur raahimeen.
Translation: "O my Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."

4. Dua for Second Ashra (Forgiveness):

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبِّي مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
میں اللہ سے اپنے تمام گناہوں کی بخشش مانگتا ہوں جو میرا رب ہے اور اسی کی طرف رجوع کرتا ہوں
Transliteration: Astaghfirullah rabbi min kulli dhambin wa atubu ilaih.
Translation: "I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, from every sin and I repent to Him."

5. Dua for Third Ashra (Salvation from Hellfire):

للَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِي مِنَ النَّارِ
اے اللہ مجھے جہنم سے بچا لے
Transliteration: Allahumma ajirni minan naar.
Translation: "O Allah, save me from the Hellfire."

6. General Dua for Ramadan:

اَللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّيْ عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ
اے اللہ! اپنے ذکر، شکر اور اپنی بہترین عبادت کے سلسلہ میں میری مدد فرما
Transliteration: Allahumma a’inni ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ibadatika.
Translation: "O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner."

7. Dua for Seeking Goodness:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى
یا اللہ! میں تجھ سے ہدایت، پرہیزگاری، پاکدامنی اور دل کی بے نیازی کا سوال کرتا ہوں
Transliteration: Allahumma inni as’alukal huda wat-tuqa wal-afafa wal-ghina.
Translation: "O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency."

8. Dua for Protection:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ
اے اللہ! میں عذاب قبر سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں، جہنم کے عذاب سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں، زندگی اور موت کی آزمائش سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں، اور مسیح دجال کی آزمائش سے (بھی) تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں
Transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min adhabil-qabri, wa min adhabi jahannam, wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat, wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal.
Translation: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the torment of Hellfire, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal)."

9. Dua for Quran Recitation:

اَللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي وَزِدْنِي عِلْمًا
اے اللہ! مجھے اس علم سے فائدہ پہنچا جو تو نے مجھے سکھایا، اور مجھے وہ علم سکھا جو میرے لیے نفع بخش ہو، اور میرے علم میں زیادتی عطا فرما، اللہ تعالیٰ کا ہر حال میں شکر ہے، میں جہنم کے عذاب سے اللہ کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں
Transliteration: Allahumma infa’ni bima allamtani wa allimni ma yanfa’uni wa zidni ilma.
Translation: "O Allah, benefit me with what You have taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and increase me in knowledge."

10. Dua for Gratitude:

اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِيْ مِنَ التَّوَّابِيْنَ وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِيْنَ
اے اللہ ! مجھے بہت توبہ کرنے والوں میں اور بہت پاک رہنے والوں میں شامل کر لیجئے
Transliteration: Allahummaj’alni minat-tawwabeena waj’alni minal-mutatahhireen.
Translation: "O Allah, make me among those who repent and purify themselves."

Tips for Making Dua in Ramadan:

  1. Sincerity: Make dua with a sincere heart and full concentration.
  2. Timing: The best times for dua are during Sujood (prostration), before breaking the fast (Iftar), during the last third of the night (Tahajjud), and on Laylatul Qadr.
  3. Persistence: Repeat your duas and be patient. Allah loves those who persistently ask Him.

The Third Ashra (last ten days) of the Month of Ramadan is known as the Ashra of Salvation from Hellfire. During this period, Muslims seek Allah's protection from the Hellfire and strive to maximize their worship, especially during the Laylatul Qadr (لَيلَةُ القَدْر) (Night of Decree), which is better than a thousand months. Here is a special dua for the third Ashra of Ramadan:

اَللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِي مِنَ النَّارِ
اے اللہ مجھے جہنم سے بچا لے
Transliteration: Allahumma ajirni minan naar.
